There is so much to explore with the Salesforce Winter ‘20 release. If you have read the nearly 600 pages of official release notes, congrats! If you haven’t, check out some of our favorite new features below!
Customizable Opportunity Contact Roles
If your contacts don’t quite fit into the standard Contact Role options (business user, decision maker, economic buyer, etc.), let us know! With this release, we can customize Contact Role options to meet your business needs. If you want to start getting more meaningful reports that show how contacts’ roles impact your sales results, we can help you accomplish that!
If your contacts are unique, and we know they are, we can ensure that the options available match your needs.
Let’s talk about how you can benefit from this feature, for example additional options on the standard drop-downs, or additional information you need to record about your contacts and their roles.
Available in Lightning Experience for all instances with Sales or Service Cloud.
Customizable Account Team Members + Automation!
Team selling may be complex, but it’s just about to get easier (and more efficient)! This release brings great improvements to Account Teams for users of Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions in Lightning Experience, Salesforce Classic, and the new Salesforce mobile app. Custom fields, buttons, and links are all available now–not to mention, automation options! If you need things to happen as the result of adding a new Account Team Member or updating the Account Team settings, let us help set that up! These updates have great potential for your sales teams.
Use custom fields on Account Team Members, and reference Account Team Members in automation logic. In this example, a team member is added, and then a welcome message is automatically sent to the team member in Chatter to welcome them to the account team.

Sort Products & Quote Line Items in Lightning Experience
No more switching to Classic to get your Quote Line Items or Products sorted, you can do it right in Lightning Experience! Take a look:
Sort Quote Line Items with ease! This same method will work to sort Products on Opportunities – there you will look for the Sort Products option.
The update for Quote Line Item sorting is available for Lightning Experience in Performance edition and in Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited editions with the Sales Cloud. The update for Product sorting is available for Lightning Experience in Professional, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions.
Quickly Edit Product List Details on Opportunities
Editing multiple products at once on your opportunities is great, and it’s getting even better with this release! Now you’ll be able to edit dependent picklists while you’re at it.
This update is available for Lightning Experience in Professional, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions.
Set a Default Product Quantity to Save Clicks
Another improvement that will save sales reps time is the ability to add a default quantity of 1 to products. Setting a default quantity of 1 could save lots of clicks over time! If this will help you, ask your Admin to turn this feature on.
This update is for Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic in Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.
Quick Access to My Team’s Opportunities
Sales Managers can easily see their team’s opportunities through out-of-the-box filters that can be applied to any Opportunities List View.
This update is available for Lightning Experience in Essentials, Group, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions.
